      Functioning of Town Planning Wing / Building Department  
             
      The Town Planning/Building Department in MCJ is headed by Municipal Town Planner supported by the Assistant Town Planner, Planning officer, Head Draftsman’s and Building Inspectors. This Department deals with building application/layout and other planning, preparation and implementation of development plans and enforcement of Building Bye Laws such as removal of encroachments and demolition of unauthorized constructions implementation of building bye laws.  
             
      Functions:      
             
  1.   Approval of Building Plans for New construction/ Renovation and addition/ alteration.  
             
  2.   Layout/sub-division plan approval.      
             
  3.   Issue of Completion certificate.      
             
  4.   Issue of certified copies of approved plan.      
             
  5.   ssue of licenses to qualified Architect/ Engineer and Building Supervisor.

  (b)   For Commercial Building : Rs. 5.00 Per Sq Feet (Proposed Covered Area)  
             
  (c)   Malba Fees (To be deposited after the approval of the Building Plan)
