The Tehbazari Department is presently is headed by the Assistant Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar. There is One Superintendent, three Inspectors and eight Tehbazari Collectors working in this branch. |

This branch is doing the following works in the City. |
| |
|
| 1. |
Recovery of rent of shops. |
| |
|
| |
The Corporation is having 218 shops in the City and their monthly rent is Rs. 3.50 Lakhs. The said rent is collected by the collectors under the supervision of the Inspectors regularly |
| |
|
| 2. |
Recovery of Daily Tehbazari |
| |
|
| |
The Municipal Corporation of Jalandhar have given some land on rent for temporary basis i.e. daily basis and the same is recovered by the collector under the supervision of Inspectors and the Superintendent. |

| 3. |
Removal of Temporary encroachments. |
| |
|
| |
Some people made temporary encroachments on the roads and land by placing some movable materials. Tehbazari staff is removing the temporary encroachments with the help of one truck and crane and lift the materials lying on the road side by public for not to make the temporary encroachments in writing the material so lifted was given to them after charging composite on fees as is fixed by the Joint Commissioner on each application. |
