MCJ has strived hard in giving its citizens a clean and green city. A clean city involves services in different area like sanitation, greenery and public health. The Health and Sanitation Department of the Corporation is entrusted with a responsibility of making Jalandhar a clean city and is headed by Assistant Commissioner (Health and Sanitation) presently, duly assisted by the Health Officer, Chief Sanitary Inspector, Sanitary inspector/Sanitary Supervisor. The Health and Sanitation Department is engaged in the services, Anti-malaria Operations, Health workshop, Health center/ Dispensaries. The Health and Sanitation Department in this year has launched a special drive for cleanliness in the city under the guidelines of the Mayor. This is to insure that any diseases or epidemics do not spread in the city of Jalandhar. |

Ensure that your premises are cleaned before street cleaning time and throw garbage in the bins before the pick-up time. |

Keep the surroundings of your building clean. |

Segregate your garbage into biodegradable and non-biodegradable components and throw them separately. |

Report non-sweeping and not lifting of garbage to the concerned SanitaryInspector/Secretary promptly. |
