(1) All complaints relating to fire, house collapse, etc where life is in danger are attended to by the Fire Brigade department. Service is free within municipal limits. In case of emergency, service can be summoned on 101 or 101 (Emergency), 2280344 (Emergency), 2280355(Emergency)
(2) The caller must give specific details in respect of location, etc of the incident, as well as the telephone number from where the call is made. Before responding to the emergency call, it is normal procedure to verify the call. As such, it is suggested that the caller then keep the phone free to enable the Fire Brigade control room to authenticate this call.45
(3) Fire or accident report copies will be made available at office of the ADFO, on 101, 2401663 (O).
(4) Permission for special and tall buildings, and instructions for anti-fire measures are given depending upon the height of the building and nature of use. Contact ADFO, 2401663 (O).
