PROGRESS
The then Prime Minister Sh. Inder Kumar Gujral announced the construction of this bridge in 1997 on behalf of Gol. This commitment of the Prime Minister to bear the expenditure by MoRTH and Railways was reiterated by the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister vide his letter dated 15-04-1999 addressed to Chairman Railway Board.
The Project was sanctioned by MORTH on 07-12-2001 for Rs.26.11 Cr. out of which MoRTH was to contribute Rs.20.78 Cr. and the Railway Rs.5.33 Cr.
MoRTH hasn’t released any amount whereas Railway have released only Rs.2 Cr.
Expenditure of Rs.21.42 Cr. has been incurred and its detail is as below:

Land acquisition from Railway

Execution of work at site
Rs.16.87 Cr.,

shifting of electrical working
Rs.0.20 Cr.

Consultancy service
Rs.0.10 Cr.
TOTAL
Rs.21.42 Cr.
A sum of Rs.14.68 Cr. was raised from PIDB as loan and it is to be returned after receipt of funds from GOI.
The 95% construction work of the approaches of the ROB has been completed and the balance work of the approaches will be completed upto 30-06-2010. The work of the railway Spans (MS Plate Garders 45 meter and 36 meter) has already been handed over to the Railway Department and is likely to be completed upto 31.12.2010.
